Moccasin Mountain Dinosaur Tracks

This site is perfect for dinosaur and paleontology lovers alike. These dinosaur tracks are located on Moccasin Mountain in a Navajo sandstone wash near the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. This is one of the best sites we take tours to, as this site contains one of the highest diversities of fossilized vertebrate tracks in all of North America. Come walk with us back through time as you explore these beautifully preserved tracks and imagine the creatures that made them.

Temporary Tour Closures (Wildfire Advisory)

House Rock Valley Road is currently closed south of The Wave because of the White Sage wildfire. As a result, White Pocket and Coyote Buttes South are inaccessible, and all access roads into White Pocket are shut down. Fire crews expect progress within the next week or two, but the reopening date is still uncertain.

We’ll post updates the moment conditions change—thank you for your patience and stay safe!
